AIDEEN O’BRIEN is an executive in the Canadian music industry with over twenty years of experience.
Growing up in her native Ireland, Aideen learned the extreme highs and lows of the music and theatre industry through her parents. Music and theatre in your veins is a hard energy to ignore, so Aideen chose to embrace her love and talent for it once moving to Canada. Joining the Toronto Irish Players, Aideen acted in some great productions while also performing local gigs with a variety of talented musicians.
Aideen went on to earn an Honours Diploma in Music Industry Management, giving her the advantage of knowing both the creative and business side of the art.
Having laid a strong foundation at Golden Phoenix Music, Aideen went on to operate Carlin Music Publishing Canadabefore being head hunted by BMG Publishing. While employed as the Director of BMG Music Publishing Aideenoversaw an increase in synchronization revenue by 15% in their final year of operation. During her career she has also taught Publishing and Communications at the Toronto Film School, managed independent artists and recorded an album of Celtic songs, which sold over 25,000 copies across North America.

Aideen is currently the Director of Music Publishing at Entertainment One overseeing Recording Artists, TV, Film and VR Catalogues.
